A
cough is an action that the body
takes voluntarily or
involuntarily to clear the air
passages of phlegm or other
irritants with a forceful
expulsion of air.
It gets in the way of everyday
tasks by causing the lack of the
ability to concentrate, speak
easily and confidently, and can
be very tiring and stressful.
Coughing is a symptom not a
disease and is caused by many
conditions such as smoking,
bronchitis, asthma, heartburn,
common cold, sinus, pneumonia,
and possibly cancer. . |
Some Home Remedies for Cough:
Honey (about 1 teaspoon) mixed with
chamomile tea, or lemon juice. or about a
gram of turmeric powder, or grape juice,
or olive oil, or chopped Onion, or Aloe
Vera.
To help cut phlegm buildup, eat figs,
gargle with salt and warm water, eat
grapes as a natural expectorant.
Ginger placed in
hot tea can help ease a cough.
Make a tea by boiling a couple of
cinnamon sticks and then add lime
juice and drink while hot.
Sprinkle sugar on half of a large
onion and drain the juice off and
drink it.
Sprinkle black pepper onto a
tablespoon of honey and take it.
Try 1 or 2 spoonfuls of apple
cider vinegar for a cough, tastes
bad, works good and cuts phlegm.

Licorice in any form (powered in
tea or chewable) is said to have
anti-inflammatory and expectorant
properties.
